What is Hospice Care Week?
Hospice Care Week is an annual event where we recognise and celebrate Hospice UK and hospice care nationwide. It's an opportunity to show the world the value of support, of care and of what matters to us as individuals at the end of life when we need it most.
This year, Hospice Care Week will take place from 10-14 October 2022.
Why is it important?
Everybody needs support, encouragement and care. It’s vital at both the happiest and hardest times of our lives. But we need it most at the end of life, when time is precious. When we only have one chance to get it right, Hospice UK exists to ensure we do. That's why Hospice Care Week is so important.

What happened in Hospice Care Week?
Throughout the week in 2021 we saw hospices, individuals and organisations nationwide getting involved - from taking up challenges (including wing walking) to lighting up buildings and donning the yellowest of clothing, all to raise funds and awareness for hospice care.
While we had a fantastic week, we know that the true reason behind Hospice Care Week is that we know that 100,000 people in the UK still don't get the care they need at the end of life.
When you give to Hospice UK, you become part of our work to make sure that everyone - no matter who they are, where they are or why they are ill, receives the best possible care at the end of life.
