In July 2020 Hospice UK were selected as one of The PwC Foundation’s national fundraising partners 2020-2023.
Since we began working together, PwC have donated an incredible £140,000 to Hospice UK. Colleagues have raised vital funds for hospice care through a variety of different fundraising initiatives, including walking the 1,078 miles that it would take to get from London to Madrid and hosting a variety of virtual events.
PwC colleagues have also been using their skills to support end of life care in the UK by providing pro bono support to both Hospice UK and our member hospices.
Our partnership also aims to raise awareness of key issues facing the hospice sector. PwC have been involved in our key campaigns including Hospice Care Week and Dying Matters Awareness Week. We were delighted when the Embankment Place office lit up yellow in support of hospice care!
The Co-operative Bank
Hospice UK has a proud history of working with The Co-operative Bank. We have been one of the Bank’s Everyday Rewards partners since 2016, an initiative which enables customers to donate to one of five charities. So far, generous Everyday Rewards customers have donated over £185,000 to Hospice UK, and this incredible amount has enabled us to support and champion hospice care across the UK.
Last year, The Co-operative Bank provided additional support to Hospice UK in response to our Covid-19 Emergency Appeal. The Bank donated an incredible £75,000 which helped us secure vital government funding and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for over 200 hospices on the frontline.
The Co-operative Bank also made a donation of £10,000 to the Greater Manchester Hospice initiative. This donation enabled 10 hospices local to the Bank’s HQ in Manchester to purchase technology to keep families connected during lockdown.
We have been proud to be a part of Charitably Joules since 2017. Generous Joules employees and customers have raised over £40,000 for Hospice UK since we began working together.
Joules colleagues and customers have raised vital funds for hospice care through a variety of different in store and online fundraising activities. Joules have also supporter their local hospices by providing much needed stock for their charity shops.
In 2020, Joules customers raised over £17,000 for Hospice UK through online, one click donations which helped us support hospices through the Covid-19 pandemic. Joules also supported hospices on the frontline of the battle against Covid-19 by providing essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to keep frontline hospice workers safe.
We're delighted to be part of New Look Gives, and have been working together since 2018. During this time, New Look colleagues and customers have raised over £180,000 for Hospice UK.
New Look colleagues and customers have raised over £180,000 for Hospice UK through a variety of fundraising activities, including cause related marketing products and an employee challenge event, Steptember, which has recently been shortlisted for a Business Charity award.
We also worked with New Look to inspire their customers to donate pre-loved clothes to their local hospice store in return for a discount voucher. This initiative was a great success and reduced clothing waste to landfill and generated additional stock for hospice stores.
Towergate's Caring Professions Division have worked with Hospice UK for over 5 years and their Stevenage office currently insure a significant number of the UK’s independently owned hospices. With more than 25 years of experience working in the sector, Towergate understand the pressures and challenges that can be faced when running a hospice.
Towergate regularly hold fundraising events for Hospice UK, including supporting the annual Go Yellow Day, as well as supporting us through internal charity days and company-wide fundraising campaigns. It is this engagement from the Towergate team that helps support the phenomenal work that hospices do for communities.
Getting involved with local hospices is something that the Towergate team regularly take part in, with Towergate staff volunteering at a distribution centre to one of their managers taking part in a Himalayan trek. They even took to the busiest London stations with a bucket, to raise money for Hospice UK!
We’re proud to be working in partnership with Raffolux to raise vital funds to support hospice care across the UK.
Raffolux offer customers the chance to win luxury and exclusive prizes whilst donating 10% of every ticket sold to their charity partners. Since our partnership began in 2019, Raffolux customers have raised over £15,000 for Hospice UK. This incredible amount has helped us champion and support hospice care across the UK.
The team at Raffolux have also supported our key campaigns, including by ‘going yellow’ for Hospice Care Week 2020!
